Chairman of the Board
Mr.Christov has 20 years experience in senior management positions. He was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eurobank (1997 - 2000); Chairman of the Board of Directors of Starkom Holding (1996-2006); Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Euroins (2000 -2007); he is Chairman of the Board of Euro-Finance since 2006. Mr. Christov has been a Chairman of the Board of Eurohold since 2006.
Assen Christov holds a Master's degree in Physics from “Sv. Klimet Ohridski” University in Sofia and a Management Degree from the Open University – London. He is fluent in Russian and English. Mr. Christov is a Vice President of the Bulgarian Athletics Federation.
Head of Mergers & Acquisitions
Mr. Stefanov has extensive experience in the areas of finance, investments, financial analysis and modeling, mergers & acquisitions, investment banking, real estate analyses and valuation. He has worked for LaSalle Investment Management Securities BV as a securities analyst, Arkont-Invest LTD as a co-owner and Joint-Executive Manager, Vinart Stefanovi LTD as a co-owner and managing director.
Vasil holds a Master Degree in Real Estate Finance, Bacelor Degree in Business and Management from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and Bachelor Degree in Economics and Business-Finance Track from the Universiteit Van Amsterdam. He graduated with Distinction: Cum Laude Master Degree. He has also specialized in International Business and Management at the HES School of Economics and Managementand in Real Estate Finance and Financial Statement Analysis at the Bocconi University, Milan. He is fluent in English and Dutch.
Executive Director and Member of the Board
Mr. Danailov has over 20 years of experience in the insurance sector with a strong background in the reinsurance business. He started his career at Euroins Bulgaria as an actuary and was later entrusted the reinsurance business of the company. Since 2007 and establishment of Euroins Insurance Group, Mr. Danailov manages the whole reinsurance-related business and introduced for a first time in the Balkan region the concept of the captive intra-group structure. Also, in 2007 Todor Danailov was the leader of the first project where a company from Bulgaria started doing business in Western Europe (Spain) under the Directive for Freedom of Services after the accession of the country into the EU.
Mr. Danailov has been a member of the Management Board of National Bureau of Bulgarian Motor Insurers (NBBMI) 2007 – 2011, a member of the Supervisory Board of Euroins 2011 - 2014 and since 2006 is EIG manager for MTPL Reinsurance currently placing business for more than €650 million. As of August 1st, 2023, Mr. Danailov was appointed Executive Director of EIG.
Mr. Danailov holds a master’s degree in actuarial science from the Academy of Economics in Svishtov city and is a chartered actuary certified by the Bulgarian Financial Supervisory Commission (cert. 47-OA/12.03.2014). He is fluent in English and Russian.
Member of the Board and Group Head of Risk
Kremena Pateva has more than 13 years of experience in the field of insurance. In 2009, Mrs. Pateva started working at Euroins-Health Insurance as a statistician, and was later promoted to head of the Reporting and Actuary department. In 2017, Euroins-Health Insurance was transformed through a merger with EIG Re, as both companies are part of Euroins Insurance Group (EIG).
Since 2016, Mrs. Pateva has been the head of the Risk Management department at EIG, participating directly in the project to bring the company's systems and processes in line with the requirements of the Solvency II regime, as well as in other significant projects implemented within EIG - review of balance sheets of subsidiary insurance companies; a project to build an accounting department and others.
Kremena Pateva holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and a Master's degree in Business Administration. She is a qualified actuary in the field of life insurance and has a professional certificate in management. She is fluent in English.
