Chairman of the Board
Mr.Christov has 20 years experience in senior management positions. He was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eurobank (1997 - 2000); Chairman of the Board of Directors of Starkom Holding (1996-2006); Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Euroins (2000 -2007); he is Chairman of the Board of Euro-Finance since 2006. Mr. Christov has been a Chairman of the Board of Eurohold since 2006.
Assen Christov holds a Master's degree in Physics from “Sv. Klimet Ohridski” University in Sofia and a Management Degree from the Open University – London. He is fluent in Russian and English. Mr. Christov is a Vice President of the Bulgarian Athletics Federation.
Chief Executive Officer
Mr.Boshov has 20 years experience in senior management positions in finance and insurance. He was Chief accountant of Mobicom - the first mobile operator in Bulgaria, a joint venture between the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company and Cable and Wireless, (1995 - 1997); Vice - Chairman of the Board of Directors and COO of Eurobank (1997 - 2000); Chairman of the Board of Euroins (2000 - 2008) - In 2006 Euroins was awarded “Company with the best corporate governance" by the Association of Investors in Bulgaria; and later became Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euroins Insurance Group and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Euro-Finance. Mr. Boshov has been Chairman of Eurohold’s Management Board since 2006. He is a member of the Endeavor Bulgaria's Board of Directors since 2015 and member of the Association of Bulgarian Insurers' Management Board since 2017.
Kiril Boshov holds a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of National and World Economy, Sofia. He is fluent in English and Russian.
Jeroen van Leeuwen
Chief Operating Officer
Mr van Leeuwen has over 20 years of extensive experience in the financial field. He started his carrier in the 80’s with Nationale-Nederlanden in the Netherlands, where he held several positions. In 1992 he was appointed Deputy CEO of Nationale-Nederlanden in the Czech Republic and in 1994 he established ING Pension Fund in that country. From 1997 he was executive board member for sales and marketing with Allianz in Prague. In 2001 he became CEO of Commercial Union (Later: Aviva), Czech Republic. A year later he moved to CSOB Insurance as CEO.
For more than ten years, he has been a member of the presidium of the Czech Insurance Association and member of the board of the Czech Insurers’ Bureau. Within CSOB Group he has been vice-chairman of the country team for the Czech Republic and member of several supervisory boards and audit and remuneration committees.
Mr van Leeuwen holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Apart from professional training in insurance, he absolved several management courses, most notably at CEDEP Fontainebleau and Said Business School, Oxford University.
Independent Member of the Board
Mr. Bauduin is an international business consultant with extensive experience in government affairs, diplomacy and international trade and finance. Mr. Bauduin started his career in the Dutch financial sector, at the ABN Bank, working as a Management Advisor for the period 1973-1977. Later, he moved for a career in the public sector, taking various diplomatic positions at the Dutch representations in foreign countries (Malaysia Canada, Japan, China). In 1989 Mr. Bauduin was summoned back to the Netherlands and in 1990 returned to his international career. Going back to the Netherlands in 1998, Mr. Bauduin was invited to become the Managing Director of the Netherlands Foreign Trade and Investment Agency and he was in this position until 2003. In 2003, Mr. Bauduin was invited by the Bulgarian government to become an Advisor on the process of accession of the Republic of Bulgaria into the European Union and he served in that position until 2006. In that period he was a permanent resident in Bulgaria. Since 2006 he has held a number of Board and management positions with companies within the Dutch financial holding Achmea. Mr. Bauduin is a Board Member of Interamerican Bulgaria Life Insurance EAD (now Insurance Company Euroins Life EAD) since 2009, and Chief Executive Officer of the company since 2013. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Interamerican Bulgaria since 2010, also becoming the CEO of the company in 2013.

Deputy Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Markov has extensive experience throughout Central and Eastern Europe in the areas of tax advisory, M&A, valuation, accounting, financial control and strategic management. Georgi Markov re-joined EIG as a Deputy Chief Executive Officer having spent two years as a Director in PwC - FYROMC leading the Tax and Legal Practice of the firm. Throughout his career he has also worked for Unicredit Bank and KD Investments. Within EIG and prior to entering his current role, Mr.Markov had spent more than six years as a CFO of the regional subsidiaries in FYROM and Romania and then as a Group CFO.
Georgi Markov holds a MBA from the Vienna University of Business and Economics (Vienna, Austria/Minneapolis, USA), a Master Degree in Bank Management from the International Banking Institute, NBU (Bulgaria) and a Bachelor Degree in European Studies, specializing in EU Law and Finance from the Sofia University (Bulgaria). He has specialized in International Relations and Social Policy at the University of Oslo (Norway).His managerial and consulting experience spans over a number of industries mainly insurance and banking, telecommunications, retail, pharmaceuticals, IT and tech start ups.
Head of Mergers & Acquisitions
Mr. Stefanov has extensive experience in the areas of finance, investments, financial analysis and modeling, mergers & acquisitions, investment banking, real estate analyses and valuation. He has worked for LaSalle Investment Management Securities BV as a securities analyst, Arkont-Invest LTD as a co-owner and Joint-Executive Manager, Vinart Stefanovi LTD as a co-owner and managing director.
Vasil holds a Master Degree in Real Estate Finance, Bacelor Degree in Business and Management from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and Bachelor Degree in Economics and Business-Finance Track from the Universiteit Van Amsterdam. He graduated with Distinction: Cum Laude Master Degree. He has also specialized in International Business and Management at the HES School of Economics and Managementand in Real Estate Finance and Financial Statement Analysis at the Bocconi University, Milan. He is fluent in English and Dutch.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Kanev has over 15 years of experience in accounting, tax advisory, due diligence projects and audit. His experience includes numerous industries: financial institutions, including insurance undertakings, utilities like gas and petrol products, as well as solar energy, mining, research and development, retail, manufacturing, etc. He has verified European projects implementation as part of the audit team. He joins EIG team after having spent two years as an Audit Manager of Mazars, Bulgaria. Throughout his career he has also worked for other leading audit and advisory companies such as EY and PWC.
Kalin Kanev is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Bulgaria (CPA N:0791), holds a Diploma in International Financial Reporting from ACCA and a Master Degree in Accounting University of National and World Economy (Sofia, Bulgaria). Mr. Kanev is fluent in English.
