‘Brokers and Brokerages: gaining in efficiency and profitability in Spain’
Efficiency and professionalism are the keys to the success of the brokerage
At the end of May 2023, Euroins Spain supported the INESE magazine conference on topic 'Brokers and Brokerages: gaining in efficiency and profitability'. The conference gathered brokers all around Spain and there were discussed many topics such as: risks in SMEs and the effects on brokerages; cyber risks and those risks that are difficult to insure like food or recycling and the future solutions that can be found for them. Another topic, which was discussed ‘Do I have a future if I specialize in one type of business? Pros and cons’. The importance of training and in-depth knowledge of the product was also made clear. Professionalism, specialization, and complementarity are the three characteristics of the brokerages sought by the large groups.
The conference was organized by INESE Insurance School within its training plan and sponsored by Active Seguros, CA Life & MGC Mutua, CGPA, Ergo Seguros de Viaje, Euroins, Reale, Generali, Helvetia and Iris Global. Susana Pérez, general director of INESE, stressed that the objective of the conference was to emphasize that brokers and brokerages must "define their strategic plan, always thinking about the efficiency and profitability of the business."
