Rumyana Betova has over 20 years of experience as a leader in the insurance industry. She started her career as an insurance expert at Sofia Ins in 1995. In 1999 she joined the team of QBE Insurance (Europe) Limited - Sofia branch as a chief expert in "Accident and Medical Insurance" and an actuary. Subsequently, she moved to the position of "Portfolio Manager" - specific risks. Since 2012 she has been Country Manager of QBE Insurance (Europe) Limited - Sofia branch and portfolio manager "Marine and Energy Insurance" for Central and Eastern Europe. Since 2014 she is Executive Director of Euroins Bulgaria. Since 2015 she is a member of the Management Board and Executive Director of Insurance company EIG Re. Since 2019, Mrs. Betova is a member of the Management Board of Euroins - Greece branch

Rumyana Betova holds a Master's degree in Social Assurance and Insurance Management from the Academy of Economics and also Master's degree in Mathematics from the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski. She is a certified actuary,a member of the Bulgarian Actuarial Society (BAD), full member of the International Actuarial Association (IAA) and Group Consultative. She speaks English and Russian.
